Resident Engineer / Structure Representative

We are seeking a Resident Engineer/Structural Representative with a California Civil Engineering Registration. The selected candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a RE specializing in Transportation projects including Highways and bridges.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledgeable about construction practices; physical characteristics and properties of roadway, structures, drainage and utility systems construction materials; and the approved methods and equipment used to conduct physical tests of construction materials.
• Able to interpret plans and specifications and enforce transportation codes and standards, traffic control requirements, safety requirements, environmental requirements, SWPPP compliance, and noise, dust and erosion control.
• Experienced in preparing quantity calculations, reading construction stakes, and reviewing force account daily extra work bills.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Caltrans Construction Manual, Caltrans SWPPP Guidelines, Trenching and Shoring Manual, Traffic Control Manual, Materials Sampling and Testing Manual, and Survey Manual.
