Sewer Master Plan Repair Projects City of Los Altos
This $1.1M project included the replacement of approximately 2,800 feet of existing 6” sewers with new 8” HDPE sewers, installed primarily using pipe bursting methods.  Also included in the project was the lining of nearly 3,000’ of 24-inch and 30-inch diameter sewer with Cured-In- Place-Pipe (CIPP).  Much of the bursting sewer replacement work was done in confined access areas such as in easements through residential yards.  CSG provided evaluation, surveying, mapping, preparation of PS&E package and construction support.  CSG also provided inspection services for the CIPP installation.  Photo shows bypass pumping operations of sewer flows during installation of the CIPP liner.
D Street Stairs Town of Colma
CSG prepared the design and provided the construction management of this replacement stairway connecting the residential neighborhood around D Street at the top to El Camino Real and the Colma BART Station. The original stairway was narrow, steep and uninviting.  The new stairway provides a more pleasant, safer passage with enhanced lighting and landscaping that compliments the vistas at the intermediate landings.
South San Francisco Wet Weather Project, Phase I & II City of South San Francisco

CSG Consultants assisted the City of South San Francisco in management and implementation of their Wet Weather Program (WWP).  CSG provided construction management and inspection services for this major project which included the renovation of two large pump stations, piping and pumps within the waste water treatment plant as well as a six million gallon peak flow retention basin and over 6,000 feet of trunk mains via open trench, pipe bursting, and boring. Phase II of the project included high-upsize pipe bursting and deep open-trench work adjacent to major utilities (230 KV electric, 30-inch & 15-inch gas, 60-inch SF water, fiber-optics etc.), a zero-tolerance guided-bore under a canal, and high-demand, proactive public relations.  The project involved State Revolving Funds which resulted in intensive documentation and reporting.
Colma Police Station Town of Colma

The new police station consolidates all essential police functions including dispatch, 911, and Emergency Operations Center in a modern $5.5 million facility. CSG provided complete construction management services, coordinating between the contractor, designer, and users to resolve issues and expedite construction to meet an aggressive construction schedule.
Pavement Management Utilizing MTC’s Pavement Management StreetSaver software, CSG can help agencies manage their street networks through the appropriate determination of street candidates, resurfacing treatments and pavement condition index (PCI) re-inspections. CSG also furnishes design and construction management services to many jurisdictions, preparing the plans, specifications and estimate, as well as overseeing construction on annual resurfacing programs.
Tennant Ave Interchange Improvements Project 2010 City of Morgan Hill

This project involved widening the existing Tennant Avenue overcrossing at Highway 101 to four lanes and improving the traffic flow through the interchange. Work included the construction of a new bridge structure, northbound 101 onramp loop for eastbound Tennant traffic, high occupancy vehicle (HOV) bypass lane, ramp-metering infrastructure, underground conversion of electrical and communications utilities, asphalt concrete pavement, traffic signal modifications, safety and street lighting, drainage and erosion control improvements, concrete structures and flatwork (i.e. curb, gutter, driveways, access ramps), signage, landscaping restoration, and pavement striping. The work required Caltrans’ project oversight, coordination with PG&E and Verizon, and management of a project website to relay communications to the residents and business owners of Morgan Hill.
Half Moon Bay Parking Lot Rehabilitation Town of Half Moon Bay

As an extension of the design, construction management, and inspection services for the City’s 2009 Downtown Resurfacing Program, CSG developed the design for the upgrading and paving of two informal gravel parking areas in the downtown area. Challenges included maximizing available spaces, maintaining existing points of access, protecting adjacent property, and meeting accessibility (ADA) requirements. One location was an expansion of the City Hall parking lot, the other a 12,000 square foot lot in the downtown business district.
