Junipero Serra Boulevard Widening and Beautification Project

Scope of Services: Design and Construction Management Service

Project Description:

	Project scope included reconstruction and rehabilitation of approx. 6600 feet of Junipero Serra Boulevard, from northern town limit with Daly City to southern town limit with South San Francisco. Work involved major base repairs, grinding, and AC pavement overlay, installation of new concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk, 2,000 feet of HDPE storm drain pipe with cast-in place catch basins and manholes, access ramps, bus pads, driveways, Keystone retaining wall, newly landscaped medians, irrigation, street lighting, signage, new bike lane, and roadway striping. Project included traffic signal modifications at four signalized intersections, as well as lane realignments
	CSG prepared conceptual plan with various alternatives followed by PS&E for roadway modifications and rehabilitation
	Obtained NPDES compliance, worked closely with Caltrans to obtain permits, assisted the Town with the bid process and selecting a contractor
	CSG also provided construction management and inspection for the Town; conducted public workshops with residents and commercial property owners; coordinated work with Caltrans, the City of Daly City, the County of San Mateo, PG&E, Cal Water, and various property owners
